Powerful Mind Counselling
Meet Sunita
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
I approach my work from a person-centered perspective, with the belief that you are the expert of your own life. I believe that when we slow down and take the time to understand our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, they often begin to make sense. Instead of seeing struggles as something to fix, I see them as something to understand. My goal is to offer a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment.
I’ve worked in the mental health field for over nine years in a variety of roles, including Mental Health Worker, Addictions Counsellor, Assistant Program Manager, and Clinical Counsellor. Along the way, I’ve supported people through many different life experiences and challenges, and those experiences have shaped the way I show up as a counsellor today.
Whether you’re coming on your own or with your partner, I offer a space to slow down, reflect, and explore what’s been weighing on you. Together, we’ll look at the patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be keeping you stuck, so you can gain more clarity, strengthen your relationships, and reconnect with what matters most to you. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, hiking, practicing martial arts, yoga and meditation, and trying new restaurants with friends.
