Powerful Mind Counselling
Meet Noyona
Noyona holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
She offers a relationship that is accepting and non-judgmental. It is important for her to create a safe therapeutic space while supporting healing journeys. Her values include compassion, curiosity, and equity. She enjoys working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, migration, identity, family/relationship struggles and more.
Noyona’s approach to therapy is trauma-informed, strengths-based and integrative and is centered around core beliefs and parts of self. She views counselling as holistic and honors the biological, social, and psychological dimensions of experiences. She believes in the mind-body connection and likes to examine the interplay between stress, trauma and emotions in our bodies.
She also has training in observed experiential integration (OEI) which helps individuals process trauma beyond talk therapy. OEI techniques work to restore perceptions to the levels they were before experiencing psychological trauma. This translates into more positive self-esteem, social confidence, and feeling less “numbed out” or “stuck”.
Outside of Powerful Mind Counselling Noyona enjoys hot yoga, reading mysteries and exploring different coffee shops in her free time.
