Powerful Mind Counselling
Meet Nida Haq
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
I believe that healing and meaningful change are possible for everyone, even during life’s most challenging moments. I offer compassionate, individualized support for clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and family or relationship challenges. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable showing up as they are and exploring their experiences with openness and care. Rooted in a person-centered approach, I integrate CBT, solution-focused strategies, strength-based work, and mindfulness practices to support clients in building resilience and moving forward in ways that feel authentic and empowering.
My background as a Victim Support Worker and as a Counsellor in an addictions recovery center has shaped my commitment to listening deeply and supporting individuals in recognizing their inner resources and growing confidence. I am especially passionate about providing culturally informed, trauma-aware care and have experience supporting clients navigating intergenerational trauma, cultural conflicts, and grief.
As a mother of two children, I understand firsthand the challenge of balancing life’s responsibilities while caring for oneself. This lived experience informs the empathy, authenticity, and grounded presence I bring to therapy. Outside of counselling, I enjoy long walks in nature, reading, listening to podcasts, and engaging in creative projects with my children, all of which help me stay grounded and bring balance into my work.
