Meet Kudrat
Kudrat holds a Master of Arts in Psychology from New York University and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
With over five years of research experience studying human attention and boredom, alongside extensive clinical practice, Kudrat brings a unique blend of academic insight and compassionate care to her work.
Her professional journey includes working as a Research Assistant at the Mood Disorders Lab at the University of British Columbia and as a Mental Health Support Worker in an assisted living facility, supporting clients with acquired brain injuries (ABI) as a result of addiction. She has also worked in private practice, led non-profit counseling services, and collaborated with interdisciplinary teams.
Kudrat’s trauma-informed approach ensures clients feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout their healing journeys. She has extensive experience working with new immigrants, seniors, students, teens, and diverse populations, addressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress and life transitions. She works with couples to strengthen their relationships using the Gottman Method, which emphasizes building trust, managing conflict, and fostering deeper connection.
Beyond her clinical work, Kudrat is passionate about cooking, reading, and traveling, finding joy in exploring new flavors, stories, and destinations. During her time off, she conducts mental health awareness workshops to address stigma in communities where mental health is considered a taboo topic.
